Ancient trading town on the water
Duke Otto I of Brunswick awarded the town the “Stapelrecht” trading privilege in 1247. Home!
I had the privilege of living here in '48-'49 and in 1998 my wife and I visited this beautiful city. It brought back great memories.

A city worth of visiting
I worked as a student in the summer of 1963 at Hannoversch-Muenden Forest Department. As a Finn I enjoyed very much of the City, its surroundings, luxuriant forests and nice people. I very much agree with the description in the web-site of the beauty of the City.
