Visit the Residence Museum in the Celle Castle, one of the most beautiful Guelph castles in Germany. Court history and stories are brought back to life, from the days when the Baroque residence of Celle offered the Danish Queen Caroline Matilda exile and was the summer seat of the kings of Hannover in the 19th century.

How about a scenic tour, with Baroque actors? Time travel that will transport you back to court life in Celle in the 17th century. Amusing, profound, worth-knowing.

Scenic tours in the Bomann Museum (third biggest museum in Niedersachsen) with the “Trio Ulkari” show history and tales, which take you back to the Biedermeier period. At Whitsun is the Jazz Street Parade, which creates a New Orleans feeling when the marching bands make their way through the streets of the old town.

Take part in the WASA-run (March) or the skater marathon (June). Or horse-lovers can attend the Celle Horse Festival (July) or the internationally renowned Celle Stallion Parade (end Sept./beginning of Oct.).
