Solling-Vogler Nature Park

In spring, summer, autumn or winter - Solling-Vogler nature park at the heart of the Weserberg region has a special charm at any time of year. The nature park has plenty to offer with extensive woodlands, rolling hills, lovely meadow valleys, clear streams and unspoilt moors. 450 kilometres of signposted short and long distance footpaths and lots of cycle paths lead you through this charming landscape and to many interesting sites. The gentle slopes are ideal for cyclists, or for more adventurous mountain bikers, the park, particularly the Hochsolling, is a real challenge. The dense mixture of narrow ridges, steep slopes and deep valleys lends the hills a wild character.

Following the traces of man's presence in the nature park, such as former glassworks hidden in the woods, leads to innumerable stories and legends. Princes and monks were quick to discover the high quality of life here, so you'll come across interesting secular and religious architecture, such as the monasteries at Amelungsborn and Corvey and Schloss Bevern.
