Park of Gardens

Fancy a visit to a garden? Situated in the heart of the Ammerland parkland is the Niedersachsen Horticultural Centre – the "Park der Gärten". On the site of the first Niedersachsen Horticultural Show lies 14 hectares of natural landscape in all its variety. In the more than 40 themed gardens horticultural companies demonstrate how well-thought out concepts and their professional implementation can give rise to the most varied of green oases. Depending on the season, there are flower shows, garden centres and a variety of events.

From “A” for Ammerländer Bauerngarten (Ammerland tree garden) to “Z” for the Zen-Garten, the “Gartenschau in Bad Zwischenahn”, the garden show with over 90 theme gardens in total, plant collections and specials, offers an extensive insight into horticulture from different epochs, cultures and styles.

You can linger in any of the five very different viewing towers, the park's "outer windows". The towers give you a birds-eye view of the gardens and the Ammerland landscape.

Moreover, the picturesque park is spectacularly illuminated during the summer and has especially long opening hours.

Opening times: 1st May - 3rd October, daily from 9.30 am - 6.30 pm
