A paradise in green awaits you between the North Sea and heath! 110 gardens and parks have joined together under the umbrella brand “Gardens of Europe –Culture, Nature, Adventure.” There is something for every garden lover: from the neat castle garden modelled on historic examples, to the wild rambling nature garden. Here we can find our way back to our roots, cast off everyday worries and enjoy the beauty of nature with all of our senses. Experience more about the healing powers of the garden plants or the possibilities of an artistic garden design. The gardens and parks invite visitors to discover, join in and explore.

Niedersachsen’s gardens are classified into eight themed groups: “Blühende Vergangenheit” (Flowering Past), “Erholsames Vergnügen” (Relaxing Pleasure), “Garten zum Mitnehmen (Takeaway Garden), “Heilende Kräfte (Healing Powers), “Kultivierte Natur” (Cultivated Nature), “Kunstvolle Gestaltung” (Artistic Design), “Neues Erlebnis” (New Experience) and “Reiche Ernte” (Rich Harvest). When you are out and about you can refer to the handy brochure “Der Weg ins Grüne” (A trip to the country): an extensive travel guide with maps, addresses and information about the region’s green treasures.
