Picture: Hann. Münden - cyclists on the bridge over the river Werra (c) Rudolf Wagner The popular long-distance cycle routes along the Fulda, Werra and Weser rivers begin in the half-timbered town of three rivers, Hann. Münden in the south of Niedersachsen. The Weser cycle route (450 km) has been attracting keen cyclists for years and on several occasions has been selected by the German Cyclist’s Federation as the most popular cycle route in Germany. But also the Fulda cycle route (200 km) and the Werra valley cycle route (300 km) are enjoying ever-increasing popularity, as a cycle trip. Variety is guaranteed with the enchanting half-timbered towns, romantic castles and monasteries, legends from fairytales and legends and of course idyllic river landscapes.
